Malibu Gothic is a mystery/horror series with a dash of wry humor. It follows aging movie star Sharon Devanue as she struggles to stay relevant while solving mysteries in Malibu. She is assisted by her alcoholic butler Mikey, and Edith, her bat-sh*t crazy goddaughter. In this pilot Episode, an old producer friend of Sharon’s has committed suicide by driving his Rolls Royce off a cliff near the Pacific coast Highway. We meet a bartender with occult expertise and the head of a sleezy TV tabloid show GOTCHA. The action gets intense and a new threat rises up from Malibu’s early history.

CARS TALK

Five rusting relics, one junkyard, zero filters.

Five rusted cars in a junkyard far far away, share stories of their lives with multiple owners, their crazy experiences and how they ended up in this place. Each has their own personality and views on the world. They argue, dream, get nostalgic, and sometimes even join in a song, that are a mix of complaining and wishful thinking. They are frequented by wandering critters, but a rat named “Stinky” is a regular and sometimes warns the Five when the front gate opens. Dialogue is edgy and not all of it is for kids under 8. This is episode 3 and the spotlight is on a Pinto, nick-named Boom Boy and his story about his 7th owner.

Young upstart Dennis Bundt has finally gotten the vaulted Green Ticket to have a meeting with his elusive Boss, Mr Lynch, in the Ivory Tower. It’s a Big Deal to get that ticket and other then his jealous buddy, most of the company personnel rally behind this opportunity of a lifetime. But from the moment Dennis steps into the Boss’ private elevator, the meeting takes a twisted, violent turn. This Academy Considered short film proposes a simple question: How far are you willing to go to become an executive? The Ivory Tower was the short film that started Frank Cappello’s Hollywood filmmaking career.
